Ran out yesterday to push some buttons and did some flying. Never know what I'm going to find.

Was at one field (will share that later) and ended up across the street and found these scene. Light was popping in and out of the clouds. Made for some quick changes but got a good one. Curious...vert or square crop??

The square format works well on this type of image. Beautiful!

Very cool! Both work but the chiaroscuro of the first makes it the clear winner for me. Love how the trees go from shaded to lit in that one.

Thats a tough one, I loved the play of shadow and light in the first one, and the symmetry in the second one is so good that its oddly satisfying to behold.
Still, I think I'll go with the square crop.

Great job with composing both of them, Aaron. Keep up the good work.

Seems to be a good split so far.

@heron - good points on the vert...that transition is fun

@two - same shot...just a crop version for the square

The first one for me. The lighting on the trees is outstanding in both, but IMHO, the first one show cases that better.

Vert Neat Photos, love the patterns. The vertical is a bit too vertical, so I would go with the square. Nice work.

I want to drop a marble in the top and see where it ends up

Sort of liked the square crop more at first but the first one is growing on me. Nice stuff brother.
