Went to Fisheating Creek to explore new areas. Did not take my 200-500mm birding lens, wanted to go light and see what was there. Did some photography from a rental kayak. Don't think that a 10' yellow-orange kayak is a good thing to sneak up on birds with. Never got that close except one Great Egret didn't mind. These were taken with the nikon 24-120mm lens.
C&C welcomed are the birds too small.

Excellent set of images. I like them all but I agree that the last one is best of an extremely nice set of images. It would make a great print.

Refreshing way to present nature Brian. I enjoyed the set, sometimes not using the everyday lens makes us more creative

I like these very much, the concept of showing animal or birds "in the landscape" is much more appealing to me.

Thanks, gpelpel, glad you enjoyed them. I am a bit surprised that almost everyone likes the last one, the bottom is fine but the trees are so-so.

Thanks Birdie, for your choice of the last one, it does surprise me that everyone seems to gravitate to that one, personally I like the first one as the tree line is much nicer.

Thanks Dave, I do 'test' prints on all of them at 20" wide, I love prints.

Thanks, mabidally. I find that I also like the way birds fit into their landscape, as it allows me to combine landscapes and birds.
