Only 39, whew thought I might have to drift through 40 again
It would be hard for one to criticize any image realizing the degree of difficulty in each. Light, DOF, ISO compromise etc.
In summary you amaze me that you have this many keepers in such challenging conditions! Amazing on the technical side, absolutely stunning on the presentation side
As far as compositions I like this set over the last one, I think you have nicely placed your subject and made good use of natural elements to accentuate the subject so my approval
Lets pick one for improvement possibilities.......The Eye Lash Pit Viper (such a cool looking snake) If you selectively take the lower part of the snake hanging down and ease off the brightness (level or reduce contrast) then selectively lighten the eye cheek area I think it would pop! If you have specular highlights showing in areas just use the clone tool and remove.
One for the crop thought, the #7 Vulture could be IMO tighter by a wee bit on the right and shaved on the top. #38 the area under could be minimized, if there were more room from above with the falling rain it could work.
Curious, in lieu of flash can you paint with light (led flashlight) on certain subjects that don't move?
There you have a few 'nits' otherwise known as specific compliments
Fantastic set overall, amazing talent to get the quantity of images you have from CR!

Yet another amazing set of good photography, KD! I am partial towards the rainy day images! I am guessing you must have shot between 20-30,000 images ... which is really not that hard to do when you spend 10 days in Costa Rica, as there is so much to see and shoot.
Hi Bobby, thanks for the support. I took approximately 12k pictures including many that were complete blow outs.
These include the 2 cams, and all the lenses. Agree totally about CR's photo opps

Woh. I wish there was another 40. Excellent work in a challenging environment. Where werevyou in CR? Did you go by yourself or on a tour?
thanks Jonathan. Hope fully there will be another round or two, since there was so much to see and photograph
We were in multiple places in CR, in the rain forest low land, the Arenal region, the Pacific side and the cloud mountains.
