Hi,

You may wish to consider either the Hawk's Factory or the Voigtlander (or knock offs) helicoid Leica M to Sony E adapters to offer closer focusing capabilites for your M-mount lenses:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1113921-REG/hawks_hkslm2semhv5_leica_m_lens_for.html

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1022002-REG/voigtlander_bd272a_vm_e_close_focus_adapter.html?ap=y&c3api=1876%2C%7Bcreative%7D%2C%7Bkeyword%7D&gclid=CjwKCAjws6jVBRBZEiwAkIfZ2tdilCBWmzQSXSmZxyFQC60Os5q5m4Bhr2Gn0RY-sX-tKo-wYhxIoBoClJIQAvD_BwE

You may also want to look for these to carry 2 of your M-mount lenses together; they are no longer in production and I purchased my pair some years ago:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Leica-M-to-M-Lens-Back-to-Back-Cap-Leitz-Wetzlar/372240738304?hash=item56ab46e800:g:4joAAOSw5yBannAe

Carrying a Leica M body cap would prove useful when removing a lens from the back to back option to cover the open end if you did not have another lens to mount. They came with my pair of back to back adapters when I purchased mine.

For myself, I originally purchased the tiny Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor Summicron lens for my A7r cameras. Later, I purchased the Zeiss 35mm f1.4 ZM Distagon lens to work the 35mm to 40mm focal length range. I then had Kolari modify the camera to an A7r M3 version (I do not have the Kolari UT verision that was available later) to work with my WA M mount lenses including those mentioned and my Leica M 24mm f3.8 Asph that I purchased at the time of my Kolari Modification. I have used the modified A7r V3 with both the Zeiss 35mm and the Leica 24mm and there is a large improvement in their performance with the camera along the edges and corners, but for the A7r requires CornerFix to adjust for the vignetting and color fringing.

For my really small and light package, I will have to check how much of an improvement has been made using both my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor Summicron and my Leica M WATE (a very expensive, but very small and light extremely flexible optic) along the edges and corners.

Additionally, for my 90mm I opted for the Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit (V1).

To this kit, I now also have a stock A7r when I want a 2nd body.

So, I have the following light options now with my A7r V3:

Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor with Heliopan collapsible hood
Leica M WATE (16/18/21mm)
Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit (V1) with hood
Hawk's Factory V5 Leica M to Sony E helicoid adapter

or even lighter and smaller package

Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor with Heliopan collapsible hood
Leica M 24mm f3.8 Asph
Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit (V1) with hood
Hawk's Factory V5 Leica M to Sony E helicoid adapter

Thanks for the suggestions on the helicoid adapted. To be honest I rarely feel the need to focus closer that what the lenses already allow, and the Metabones adapter that I have feels solid so far.

My lightweight landscape kit is:

CV12mm f/5.6 - 283g
Leica 16-18-21f/4 - 335g
Pentax K 28mm f/3.5 - 261g
CV40 f/1.4 - 175g
CV90 APO Lanthar f/3.5 - 260g

Obviously the last 4 have adapters but they are pretty minimal in weight.
