p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Haze and Sunset

I finally had a chance to get out of the house and shoot with the new camera. I was debating whether or not to go do some canyon shooting because of the hazy skies, but some clearing sky in places convinced me to go up the mountain. I figured I could shoot some interesting details (there are some great trees up there) if it stayed hazy, but the sunset ended up being quite impressive. There was different light at every step as the sun set. Here are a few different takes on the great light that the valley below was getting:

As always, CC are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I like the last the best. I think a silhouette for the land is a very good choice. Turns it into a shapely frame while the detail in the others is distracting for me particularly in the middle two. I kind of like the land in the first. Not sure about the person so far to the edge and apparently moving out of the scene. Still, he offers interest. I think the colors are dynamite in the last and I think the position of the sun and its rays in the frame works very well.

I love #1 for the way it draws the eye deep into the frame to look at each layer of terrain. You've capitalized on the haze to make the image do this very well.

2 and 4 are my favorites (jawdropping!) but in truth all 4 are top notch!
