Mechanical shutter is rated to 500,000. Does it even matter what the count is?

If it has 10,000 on the shutter, vs. only having 250, I think that would make a difference to people.

No. It's honestly not a problem to ask. I just found it kind of ironic, given the rated shutter life of the camera. To me, the condition of the body would be more indicative of general use and wear, but that wasn't the question asked (but is stated in the ad as a 9+). Given this feedback the seller has and the condition they're rating it, I'd be inclined to assume the camera has been used VERY little, if at all. It's quite possible the shutter count (electronic + mechanical) is zero.
