I was on a boat safari in the Sunderbans National Park, and it was a particularly slow day because we hadn't sighted anything significant in almost three hours from the time of sunrise...
...which was when this guy showed up, changed a few perches, and sat in this spotlight kind of setting.

Thank you so much for taking the time out to view this post. I am eagerly looking forward to your comments, critique, feedback, and most importantly how differently would you have composed the photograph, if you were in my place.

Very nice twoflower, I love the background but I would frame the bird further to the left with a bit more space on top. Just my opinion though!

Excellent image! Nicely composed. The bird very kindly posed in a well lite area. The only suggestion I can offer is post a larger image and include the exif metadata.

Nice BG. Always think about the BG and work it to your advantage if that is possible. Maybe a bit more space at the top of the shot would help, but I think the placing is perfect. The only thing I would have tried was to get further to the bird's right, to get a bit of the front of the bird and then the perch wouldn't be so "static".

Great shot.....also known as 'Shikra'....one of the common raptors around.

btw how was your tiger sightings at STR....if any...?

Had one sighting on the last hour of the last day of the trip. Lasted for almost half an hour.
Didn't expect it to be this good!
