p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · just shot my first wedding with Fuji

Hi! Just came back from shooting my first wedding with fuji xt2. I liked the whole experience but having little trouble with mushy skin tone in lightroom. I know lightroom isn't the best place to edit these raw files but I really like the software and am very comfortable with using it. For those like me, do you mind sharing some tips with fuji raw and lightroom? esp with skins! (I've googled but couldn't find any solid method yet.) Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

I use this as a starting point.
Basic Blacks -5 clarity +36 Vibrance +36

Sharpening Amount 35 Radius 1 Detail 100 Masking 40

I have never edited for skin. I would think the clarity would be lowered some for that.

First step, process all files through Iridient X-Transformer.

Second continue through lightroom for the rest of culling and editing.

I tried the x transformer and it does make raw files look better in lightroom and i dont mind spending $30 for that. However what worries me is the time. I take about 2-3k images per wedding and converting all these images will not be quick. This is huge turn down for me.

Do you have to edit all those images? Or can you cull them before sending them to Iridiant? That way you don't waste time on images you'll be throwing away. Just an option.

This is what I've been doing. At first I was very resistant to changing my workflow, almost to the point of selling my Fuji gear, but I love using this system so much I pushed through it.
