Have not posted in a while here. But on a recent vacation to New Orleans, I found some time to bird the local areas like the Bayou Sauvage NWR and City Park. This offered a chance to photograph birds that I never see in Minnesota.

Thanks, Greg. Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I wish I could go back since I missed an opportunity to visit Jean Lafitte National Park which offers an excellent birding opportunities.

Lovely images Amit. I pick #1 for its detail, clarity, and color tone. Love the ibis IF too.

Thanks for the nice comments, Louie. I was so happy that I could get quite close to the wildlife. Its is bit more difficult doing so in Minnesota.

Very nice on the Tricolor Amit, gorgeous light and BG!
Nice presentation on the Shrike, nice handling of the exposure. Good work on the in-flight shots.

Thanks a lot for the nice comments, Karl. My initial approach to the Tricolored was at right angles to the sun, but I was lucky it hung around until I was able to get in a better position.
