Am I the only one here who prefer one single image thread for all FF bodies? ( I actually have no objections to mix APSC with FF too but that’s probably too much)

Not enough time to learn the ins and outs of the new camera/menu system yet. This is one of my first shots after the battery was charged. The only test subject around was my 2 year old son. He's constantly moving around and im still amazed that the Eye-Focus nailed almost every photo i took of him that day.

Brave! I gather it fared ok? In a recent tear-down by LensRentals, I was left feeling like these cameras are best not left exposed in the rain... there's no seals around the bottom, the battery door, or the strap grommets. They didn't comment on the potential for moisture entering through the top, but certainly never let the bottom get wet.

One from yesterday with the Nikkor 105mm f1.4 and Commlite Pro adapter. Since there's no Adobe support yet this is a tweaked in camera jpeg.

Did anyone happen to compare the 24-105 vs the 24-70 F4 by any chance? I'm waiting for my A7riii body but I'm still trying to figure out the best zooms. Right now I'm inclined towards the 12-24 + 24-105 combo unless the 24-70 is a better option...

I really like looking at everyone's images, but sometimes I find the velocity of the full FE image thread to be too much to keep up with. In the meantime, since I'm considering an A7Riii, I want to see images from the new camera so I prefer a separate thread at least for now. Maybe it makes sense to merge them down the road.

I agree let’s let them ride out for awhile and let folks see what it can do make a better buy decision. For its cost I thought no it helps folks. It’s Freds call but I think he would agree.

I have just checked mine and it does have rubber seals around the battery door on the base and the door to the SD card ports though not on the doors to the other ports (usb, av, etc). All the same brave man getting it that wet

Considering the subject matter and composition, some very nice photos so far on this thread.
But, but, are they really that much better than if taken with a A7R2 body instead of the new A7R3?
Considering the money lost from the devaluation of your 2 model and the extra cash laid out to upgrade to a 3 model, I'm just not seeing the value here.
Think I'll hold off and just use the new 24-105 lens on my A7R2.

Even though I want to see images from the new camera, I don't think the reason to buy it is because of any major IQ improvement. Especially not as seen in web images. Other advantages, like better AF, better EVF, better battery, etc., are what is motivating me.
