I love to capture unique moments. In this set taken after sunset at Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge here in New York City the last 15 minutes of glow provided numerous opportunities to do what I love.
-1 Canada Express
The juxtaposition of wildlife and man made things is a favorite of mine. Here we have the A Train (NYC Subway) in the background of a canada goose.

-2 Snow Geese in Gap Light
The sun is below the horizon and was hidden by clouds at sunset. Then there was a gap in the clouds that illuminated these geese yet the ground was in the shadow of the earth. Any time the sun peeks out of a gap in the clouds around sunrise or sunset the light is spectacular.

-3 One in a milion
I love to photograph large flocks of birds. In this case one duck straying from the flock

-4 Cormorant in a beautiful sky
New York City is on the Eastern Flyway. During the spring and fall we are treated to huge flocks of birds flying overhead. Here the clouds are illuminated by the gap light I described earlier.

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Ps. I love the 21st Century. I'ts Black Friday and my holiday shopping is over in just a few clicks. Best wishes to the freight carriers that will have to maneuver through NYC traffic to deliver the gifts that I ordered in my PJs.
