The eagle was too far from the overlook (about 700 ft away) so I drove across a bridge over the Russian River and within 20 minutes I was on the beach on the other side of the river mouth. By this time the bird had caught a prey.

100% frame (no crop)

Sneaking up closer. I am now completely in the open

Still closer, overall distance reduced by about 70 ft. Eagle intent on eating

Ravens distract eagle from me.

Nice series Dennis. The Jenner eagles seem to be a little less skittish with humans this year.
