Here are shots from this morning at SJWS our local wildlife place. The vermillion has been an intermittent visitor this year, usually when light is bad though! The Western Grebes are showing a typical feeding sequence I shortened, even though junior is about full size he/she keeps after the parents for food.

The last shot was of a weird grebe, either Clark's or Western that I think is leucistic and sickly, any help on ID would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking!
BOB

Bob, these are all terrific, the last one does look a bit sickly but very nice reflection shot; I really like the interaction shots between the Western Grebes. Very nice shooting.

Really nice set, Bob, and that last guy/gal does seem a little off.

Neat set, I always love a chance to photograph a Vermilion Flycatcher, they are such pretty birds. That last grebe is a really interesting looking bird! My only suggestion would be that I wonder if some of the other grebe shots might benefit from a little tighter composition.

Thanks Greg, these are already heavily cropped so I wanted them a bit looser to retain detail.

Love your grebes. The last shot is very interesting. Unfortunately I can't help you out with what may have caused it's appearance. If you find out anything, let us know. I would also be curious to know if the bird can hunt and eat and fly and how long it is around?
Thanks,
Don

Thanks for the comments Don. Unfortunately I think the grebe died as I saw a dead one floating in the pond.
