While living in SC now, often times when I tell people I'm from NY they immediately think of skyscrapers and the hustle and bustle of big city life in the big apple.
This is the NY I called home for my entire life until I moved south many years ago.
This scene is from Letchworth SP located in the finger lake region of NY, which was only a short 25 minute drive from my home at the time.
This image was captured at a location called Big Bend Overlook which has been referred to by many locals as the Grand Canyon of the East. This place in particular has very sentimental meaning to me personally for reasons I can not share here, however I can say my parents both enjoyed taking long walks here and other nearby trails in the park.
The first morning I attempted to capture this scene, I got skunked with a boring solid blue sky. I was determined to come home with a wall hanger from this place once and forall, so I got up again the next morning at 3:30am to try it one more time before I had to return home to SC the next day.
I'm glad I did.
Hope you enjoy it and thanks for viewing.
