Got lucky with a close up shot. Thought it was a fake scare-crow owl as I drove by. Harrier was good enough not to fly away as I got the 24mm lens off my camera. JP

I believe your Northern Harrier is a Coopers Hawk.

I thought harrier because of the band on the tail, not visible this shot. Will have to pull out the bird book. This bird sat still for me for 10 minutes i was in my toyota bird blind.
