IMO the sun isn't much of an issue, and cropping the shot would unbalance it, shifting the wave too far to the left. I agree with the suggestions to try cloning some of the cloud pattern over the sun if you want, but it's not a big deal.

Is this the entire original image? If there's more, I'm wondering how the image would appear with more width added? Or cropped slightly to put the "eye" of the curl centered on the 1/3 - 2/3 intersection at lower right to increase the visual impact. (Just an experiment.)

In any case, this is a very dramatic image, nicely caught.
