Did you find the A9 allowed you to get shots that another camera couldn't?

How is the AF in low light, especially for drunk dancing?

Nice photos.

Nice! I've been using two A9's for weddings since they came out. Love them.

another SONY camera couldn't
because A9
1) Large memory buffer (240 Raw + Jpeg) but is not enough for me - sometimes I fill it up
2) joystick(i can choose any points for focusing just in a second
3) Eye AF(really works)
4) 20 FTP (i use only 10ftp and this is more than enough for me)

A7RIII has the same 10ftp but buffer for only (76 Raw + Jpeg)this is not enough for me (especially after A9)
On a Sony SF-128GB SD card, i can write around 4500 Raw files (on A9)
on a A7RIII (for the same card) i can write only half
on this wedding, i shoot around 20000 images

(I'm shooting for sony A7-A9 series for the last 3 years)

i don't have any problem with AF in low light
(everybody has a different vision about it)
but comparing canon/nikon I'm not seen any differences
Nice photos.

You know what I love in this series? You took the deluge of cellphone cameras and made a fantastic shot out of it.

Hey Emin- I was wondering if you could say a little bit about your experiences shooting on camera flash with the A9 in dark NYC venues. Do you ever run in to issues with achieving focus in the dark without AF assist? Any particular techniques you recommend? Thanks!

20,000 images
say 3 shot bursts per image to 'get the right one' (eyes closed, blurred etc) = 6,000 images
let's say 10 seconds between images = 18 hours of continual shooting at 10 secs per image.

Lunch? Battery change? bathroom break? organising people? Moving around?
Even 2 shooters = 9 hours of wedding.

We had 40 shots to choose from at our wedding....

yes i shoot 20000 for about 11 hours
my couple get about 1000 images from the day (including a lot of details, group shoots and portraits)
i know i'm not a good photographer and must learn a lot
before i will shoot only 40 images and all 40 will be perfect

depend
how deep is your love
how deep is your dark
if the light is not enough i use a led video light
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yongnuo-Digital-YN300-III-Pro-LED-Video-Light/172953169694?hash=item2844cfef1e:g:Be0AAOSwxIRZ9AZK

if i want to use a flash (most of the time for the dancing)
i shoot without autofocus on closed aperture f5.6 or f8 (everything will be in a focus)
i do the same before i moved to the sony

I wonder if you find things like yellow/orange eye sclera, like in the car window photo, to be something to avoid/fix later? I often do myself because I think the client will ask themselves, "why are my eyes so orange/etc.?"

False. Your a bad dude, Emin. Own it. I've been following your for sometime and its hard to find an original voice in wedding photography, you're one of the few who's done it. Thanks for that.
