Item condition: 9 Shows signs of use, but very clean

I won't waste your time telling you how good this lens is other than to say that it's good enough to be a medium format portrait lens -- maybe the best available for Fuji GFX right now.

The deal includes the box, lens shade, front/rear caps (both Canon since the Zeiss's were misplaced at some point).

My copy is in very, very good condition and is a quintessential 9. If you stare closely enough at the lens barrel you will find some minor rubs/signs of use but aside from that it's going to be hard to find anything wrong. The glass looks amazing as it's had a 77mm B+W UV filter on pretty much always and I never used this lens all that much (bridal portraits at maybe 15 weddings and the occassional landscape).

I am selling it because I've settled on 85 Art/Canon 200 1.8 over time for most of my portrait work. Thus, this lens needs to find a new home so it can continue making amazing images. For the right shooter this lens is an absolute 100% steal.

Established FMers (>5 transactions) preferred and the price includes shipping to CONUS + PP fee. I would consider some kind of trade for either a Canon G5X or Canon 500 f4 IS v1 (plus cash in order to even things out).

I was thinking of getting this for my Fuji GFX 50. I have to see who makes a good adaptor for it and how much. How is the Manual focusing on it? Thank you Dennis

The manual focus throw of all the top-end Zeiss glass is about as good as it gets. I personally prefer the metal focus ring of the classic ZE to the newer Milvus as it feels more tactile to me. I've held onto this lens longer than I should have because it's just fun to shoot with. So if your work tends to be slower and methodical this lens really is almost impossible to beat.

Manual focus of this lens in general is easy with an EVF because its just as sharp wide open as any other aperture. You really would only stop down to gain a little bit of sharpness in the digital medium format corners (that's funny just saying out loud) or for depth of field.

I believe the recently announced Techart adapter will allow aperture control and some exif info as well.
