This is an amazing lens but I am finally favoring primes for all aspects of my wedding work and shooting less and less sports these days. In short, between my 85A/135L/200L primes this lens has simply gotten boxed out and I want to free up some funds for wildlife purchases.
The glass is in very good condition and I can't find any defects in it. I have kept the same 77mm B+W UV filter on the front that the original owner used and so the front element has likely only been exposed for cleaning.
There are some signs of wear on the body in the form of rub marks, etc. Both the zoom ring and the MF ring are both as smooth as the first time I got the lens and work great.
The reason for the low selling price is the lens hood. The lens hood is hard to rotate around the part where it locks and this sometimes makes getting the lens hood on/off a bit tricky. I've always been able to do it but if you change the lens hood 4 times a day this is not the lens for you. On the other hand if you always leave the lens hood in place or never use one then this won't affect you and you get a great deal!
