I wanted to share some images from the bear trips this year at Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. We had two great groups, and beautiful weather this July. Lots of bears (especially cubs). In one 3-hour period we photographed 17 unique bears, 11 of those being cubs.

Thanks Bob. The second show was my favorite too. It was tough to get as I was laughing so hard as the little cub was running with its stolen fish.

Your images of the coastal browns are fabulous! I love them all, especially the intimacy of Mom and cubs in #1 and the cub with the salmon too! It is good to see the harmony between the bears and people. I read the Lake Clark NP advice on being near bears. All good. Those places are priceless! Thank you so much for sharing this Matt!
