My tripod is:
FEISOL Classic Tripod CT-3401 Rapid

And my head:
Jobu Design BWG-J3K Junior 3 Gimbal Kit with Swing-arm HM-J2

I've had the tripod for about 12 years. This year I had to repack the releases, there are instructions how to do this online or you can send it in. The head is about a year old and works like new. It supports 10 lbs so your 8.5 lbs lens would be on the edge

My tripod is:
Really Right Stuff TVC-34L

And my head:
Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal

Like many photographers, I went through a couple different tripods and heads, trying to find one that was 'good enough' without spending a fortune. Eventually I ended up with these, but paid far more than I needed to by going that route. It would have cost me much less if I had just saved up and bought top quality gear to begin with.
