I've been playing catchup since returning from our 3 week trip. This left me with the itch to get out and take some photos so I headed to Nickerson Beach with the threat of showers. It sprinkled some and then the dark clouds moved in and it poured. I enjoyed the solitude on the beach and got to take some unique images.

Well worth the damp outing. Looks like the poor little guy in #2 is all hunched up to avoid the rain... Mike

The sanderling was puffed up to stay warm and running to avoid a wave

Yes those drops were huge and you knew when one hit you as it was like you were hit by a water cannon

Wet, wet, wet! That's what I could gather from your images and I admire your endurance, Morris! I enjoy the skimmer and the oyster catcher images

I really like 2 and 3 for the added visual effect of rain falling into the puddles and the microscopic explosions they represent.

These shots in the rain are really fun to see, Morris. That juvie tern has that annoyed look at its face, probably because of the rain :P
