We hiked around swift current lake in the Many Glaciers section of Glacier National Park. Our choice for the hike was based on wind direction as the smoke was blowing away from Many Glaciers. When we started out it was a lovely warm and sunny day. That did not last long as clouds came over the mountains and a light sprinkle fell. It was OK as the fresh air that came with the sprinkle was very refreshing and the trees were stopping most of the rain from reaching us. Just before we reached the Many Glacier Hotel the sprinkle turned into a downpour so we went into the lovely hotel and let the worst pass. I'm including one photo from a different day when it was sunny yet there was also light smoke.

Love those mountain views, Morris! While I'm sure the smoke had its impact, I think it actually adds value to these images. They seem a little more dramatic than the quintessential sunny day versions. (I'm enjoying your trip, vicariously.)

When I saw those boats on the shore line I went straight to the use the boat as an anchor composition

I only saw some merganser ducks way too far out to make a good photo
