Shorebirds have not been too active at Conneaut Harbor Ohio this year but I did get fortunate enough to grab a few snaps of this Marbled Godwit Sunday morning. I haven't posted here for quite some time but I have been lurking almost daily. CC is very much appreciated.
They are all excellent shots. The low angle is very nice and I imagine you had to wallow in the mud to get them. Looks to me like it was worth it (easy for me to say).

Thanks Dave, fortunately I didn't have to "wallow" much in the mud . I was right up to the edge of the water but it was somewhat dry where I was laying on my belly. I did have an extra set of clothes in the car though...just in case!!!

Thanks Douglas, I'm about an hour and 15 minutes from Conneaut Ohio and usually make it up there every weekend in the fall for about 6-8 weeks straight. Besides this Godwit and a Whimbrel last weekend there have only been 4-5 Sanderlings and a few Killdeer. Very very unusual for this time of year.
