Went out with the macro lens , and found a couple of different and interesting visitors.

The second shot is the Aphid Lion , or commonly called Junk Bug or Garbage Bug. The "stuff" it is carrying around is actually the remains of its victims and some dirt . It is believed that this is done for camouflage. This Aphid Lion is the larval stage of the Green lacewing.

The spider reminds me of weird smiley face

. They are very tiny, 1/16th to 3/8 of an inch and are beneficial spiders.

Your nits, crits and suggestions are most appreciated and help me.

All very nice but I love the metalic body of the fly on the first shot. Are you using flash?

Juan, thank you. No flash this time as my flash is off at Olympus for repairs

. These are all natural light. The long legged flies , jump the instant a flash goes off , so very hard to capture them with a flash.
