We've been traveling in Eastern Canada this summer, so I hadn't planned to do anything about the eclipse. But I did find that we would have about a 40% partial eclipse where we were. So prior to the eclipse I started playing with a pinhole in a piece of cardboard against a piece of white paper. I found that a small hole gave the sharpest but also the smallest image. Larger holes gave less sharp but larger images. So during the actual eclipse I grabbed a small colander with lots of small holes, a paper plate and used an iPhone to capture the moment. I thought that it produced a pretty fun image

that I did a similar type of shot using a colander! ;-)
