I was in Wyoming for the eclipse last weekend, and, this being my first visit to either park, I spent Sunday shooting a few of the classic views in Grand Teton and Yellowstone. First on my list was the overlook at Snake River. This image was captured from roughly 20-30 feet below and 60-70 feet northwest of the main photo spot along the visitor walkway. I scouted the location the previous evening and found the view here to be a bit clearer with some nice natural framing, and I didn't have to contend with other photographers for a spot (not that there were many lined up yet when I arrived at fifty minutes before sunrise, but still). My understanding is that the somewhat hazy appearance of the mountains was (at least in part) due to smoke from Idaho forest fires.
