These are very nive shots. I have not had the opportunity to get a shot of a kingfisher since I got my telephoto lens. Always too far and easily spooked. Nice work.

Thanks, Steve. Yes, they are easily spooked. These I got sitting in my car. Luckily I was able to slowly creep to within about 50 feet in each case before they took off.

Thanks for the nice comment, KD. I am dearly waiting for the day I can get a kingfisher on a branch or flying back with a fish. Until then, I have to be content with artificial perches
