While sitting watching a couple snowy egrets at the Ponce de Leon inlet, I noticed a large dragonfly floating near them. Just as I was getting ready to focus on him, he disappeared. One of the egrets grabbed him right out of the air.

I was actually too close with the lens and TC, so the first shot was difficult!

This was the guy next to the first egret. I think he was scratching his head, wondering why he missed that lunch.

They are great subjects. I ride my bike on the beach regularly, when we are here, and enjoy spending time watching these Jokers at the turnaround point (jetty).

Nicely done Kim. While I wouldn't choose that lunch the egret seems to like it.
