Another from my recent trip to Chimney Bluffs State Park here in Upstate NY. There's no denying the beauty of a Great Lakes sunset...my (in)ability to capture that is another question.

Here we have a composition of three images. I was trying to find just the right balance of motion in the foreground and a dramatic sky – hope that I haven't overdone it. In fact, here I used three images. Two were exposed for motion in the water – one specifically for the highlights, one for a higher tide. The third was exposed for the sky.

Shot with Panasonic Lumix G7; Nikon 17-35 ƒ2.8 and Zhongyi Focal Reducer F-M43 and stacked in PS CC 2017.

Hi Nicholas,

I like the middle of the image. The pine tree poking into the left of the frame, and the blown highlights around the sun are distracting from the meat of the image. Also the small amount of branches cutting into the sky isn't ideal. The incoming wave is also oddly blue when I'd expect it to be much whiter.
