I've spent many a sunset on Pothole Dome, so I decided to switch it up across the meadow. The thin veil of moisture in the west made for some great last light. C&C welcome and appreciated!

Fine work, all three. I would have loved to have a drone handy to compose the first image with the tree set completely against the granite slope.

Smoke last Friday and Saturday made for some interesting horizons at sunset (sunrise not as much). Possible rain should clear out some of the smoke in the coming week if anyone is headed up there!

So the Tioga Pass road must now be open. Luckily for you with those shots because today, the whole valley is shrouded in wildfire smoke.

Thank you Fred and Dalite. Tioga Pass has been open since the end of June. I was there last Friday and Saturday, and the smoke made for some interesting mood. I was really happy with my takeaways.

Tim, the light on the tree really makes the image stand out. All are great but #1 is my favorite.
