p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Bandon Solstice

Spent summer solstice along the southern Oregon coastline. Great week with blue skies . . . and totally featureless sunsets. Here are 3 captures of the setting sun over Bandon beach - all single shots 1:2 cropped.

Dave;

I liked these the first time I saw them - and still do! Very much appreciate the use of the entire beach - and given the lack of "sky interest" - helps focus the attention more on the sea stacks - and not what may - or - may not be missing in the sky. I happen to think these look wonderful without a "dramatic" sky. Really like the lone splash in #3. My only issue is the occasional halo'ing that would be easy to fix.....

Hi Dave,

Nice shots here, and good job working the images without having clouds. #1 is my favorite and really stands out.

Thanks Todd (and congrats on #5!). The splash framing the sun was a stroke of luck. As for the halo's - well we are always trying to push the boundary are we! :-)

Thanks Jim. FWIW I listed these in my order of preference.
