Two years back I was lucky enough to be able to be able to watch four young green herons from when they first left the nest to adulthood. You'll see all kinds of interesting behavior, especially when the adult comes in with a fish.
Thanks Reko, I do try to get there early for the chance of good light but often just can't get out of bed on time but thanks for the advice.
