This bag looks awesome. Gonna add it to my amazon list as well. I have a domke 803, but sometimes I get tired of the shoulder bag flopping around. Right now I use a generic backpack with an insert. Would like something more photo specific.

I received mine middle last week. Have yet to try it out but looks more roomy than the Thinktank 10

It is I can fit my lenses in much better. It hangs just a touch low on me. I'm short so I have to make some adjustments. I took it out for a nice walk this morning it felt good

Looks great Guy I have 3 different smaller back pack styles of bags with option for sling. One Manfrotto and two Lowepro small/medium. I find these are the best when traveling. I also have some older Domke bags which are nice but really don't afford the protection of a well padded back pack and I don't like how they swing on your shoulder when you are moving about.

I'm really liking mine, you might check the Mindshift website for one, still free shipping.

Just be mindful if you need to return it, return shipping is costly. Had to return mine, $28 for UPS Ground, ouch!

Looks tempting, reminds me of my Lowepro Classified Sling but smaller and better fit for a7. But it's not available yet in Europe

It comes with two main dividers that divide the bag into 3 nice deep sections. You can size these as you like depending on how wide a piece of gear is. They also provide two smaller sub-dividers that you can use to divide one or two of the 3 sections into a lower and upper sub-section to stack smaller gear. For instance, I divided one of the 3 main sections with a small sub-divider and put my Loxia 50 in the lower section and stacked my FE 35 f/2.8 in the upper section. Then I have my A7RII with the FE 12-24 mounted in the 2nd or middle section and my Basis 85 in the remaining section. Another option I've used last week when shooting some outdoor engagement portraits was putting my Flash in one section my A7RII with the 50mm f/1.4 ZA in the middle section and my Basis 85mm in the 3rd section's bottom sub-section stacking my FE 35 f/2.8 on top. It's very comfortable to wear and everything fits nicely. Very easy to swing it around front and grab the camera out and change lenses without taking the bag off.

It replaced my ThinkTank Turnstyle 20 bag which I liked a lot but this new bag has just a bit more room and I like that the main compartment zips open away from your body making it easy to access the gear when you swing it around to the front of your body.

Thanks Chuck, that's exactly what I needed to know. I have the middle size Turnstyle and I always seem to be shy on room.

But I have sooooooo many bags. Somebody should start a charity based on photo bags. I never seem to get around to selling mine.

Tim,

I hear you on the bags. I have an embarrassing number of Photo Bags too.

But they were all great bags at one time. 😁

Thanks Chuck. Btw, what size did you get that you're describing above? I am thinking the 13 to hold my MacBook, but I plan to upgrade to a 15" in November when my employer buys my next laptop. For an iPad, the 10 seems perfect if that's what you described above.

Edit: I just got the last 10 on Amazon. But new stock expected in 5 days on one of the resellers.

AH! I found the culprit! I was just about to order that and held off for an hour.. Came back and it was gone. Glad you got it though, when I went to search for the 13 to place my "pre-order", the stock had resurfaced, Gabrian's had 2 in stock so I snagged one. Should be here on Wed. Won't have the 10 to compare it with, but I'll share some photos of the 13 when it comes in.

I just received the "13" sling bag. I really wanted to love this bag as it has some amazing features: Water resistant materials (plus cover), water resistant zippers, great zipper pulls, a perfect compartment size for my light travel kit (two A7RII's, FE 16-35mm, FE 55mm, FE 28mm and Batis 85 or FE 70-300mm), water bottle holder, ties for a tripod, iPad slot, great storage compartments, etc.

I need a light bag to take to the Amazon in a couple months and I was hoping this would be it. The problem is that it rides very low and the part that hits my lower back is not padded very well. I have tried every adjustment possible. My Lowepro Slingshot 202AW rides higher, is more padded in the right places, including the shoulder, and is simply much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Darn it.... I was hoping that this would be the ultimate bag, as I am a huge fan of sling bags. At 70, however, I need all the cushion I can get.

I tell you between bags and lenses--- i have learned a lot. For example, I will not longer critic my significant other when I see a lot of shoes or clothes in the closet (do not see too many purses though). When we travel and she says should have brought a different piece of clothing or shoes-- I say -- yes should have brought a different lens.. So at least can make me appreciate the mind set.

I described the Photocross 10 bag from MindShift. I don't take any laptop or iPad with it as I'm using it primarily as a light kit day bag. I take a laptop or my iPad Pro in another bag when traveling.
