Guy, How do you like the Cooper Slim? What kind of A7/A9 kit fits in it? I've been thinking about it for a while and probably going to pull the trigger soon. I need an upgrade in the bag department...

Honestly I'm a bag whore but this question comes up a lot on what bag to buy and for a lot of us we have several depending on need on any given day so I thought I would post it in case anyone is looking. I'm a fan of TT bags and they bought Mindshift. I have a Peak Design backpack and a Tenba Copper 10 slim also but I use the sling bag a lot so I'm hoping this replaces my Turnstyle

Sounds good to me, thanks. Appreciate any other thoughts if you get time. Otherwise enjoy New York, lived there 10 years. It's a great time, but don't miss it one bit.

I love the Turnstyle bags, my only complaint was no tripod attachment. Looks like I'll be picking one of these up.

I use the Think Tank Turnstyle 10 for my Sony gear when walking the city. I can put for instance my 85 1.8, Batis 18 and FE 35 1.4 on either A9 or A7rII. Love this bag but I just got a email today a new PhotoCross 10 from Mindshift.
I bought it immediately

Check this out

Ive been testing the Turnstyle and havent fallen in love with it. The biggest thing for me is I hate squeezing my gear out between two zippers. Seems like a battle thats just going to mark up my gear and its just plain frustrating. The Mindshift looks much better in this regard amongst other features. The flap opens right up for access.

Guy you should get bag for free after the free advertising on here, just ordered mine after seeing this. I love my Mindshift Rotation backpack and this small sling bag has a lot of the things I was looking for; weatherproof, water bottle holder, tripod stamps, and the zipper pulls.

Lol, me too. I have two bags coming in this week including one that's on backorde everywhere and I had to track one down from a retailer out of CA for one (Manfrotto Manhattan 50 backpack).

I got mine in (the 10) and I think it's just a tad too small for me. With the grip extension on, the body barely fits in. With the 24-70 GM on, the camera can't stand and down, so I have to lay it flat. But when I go to take the camera out of the bag, the hood tends to catch on the zippered pocket in he front. Not sure I'll try the 13 or just try another bag.

Anyone want a new Photo Cross 10?

I just took some pictures of mine I'll post here in a bit . But I can get my Batis 18 in much easier now plus either my 35 FE or Batis 135 down the side. Plus the A 9 with grip extension and 12-24 pointing down the middle of the bag. Side pocket is a lot better as well not so darn tight. I may cut one strap as it's a little long when on. I took off the waist strap. I like to keep these things simple. Now I could even squeeze in a flash laying down on top.

I like it a lot. I may give my son my TT turnstyle

So it's a little bigger in a good way over the TT and I have some big lenses.

Honestly the 24-70 hood is completely worthless. It's not going to help at all. I used a blank 82mm filter and a snap on cap and that's the best it gets . I use my hand when I need shade. Much more effective. Just a thought

I don't disagree. Just sad that even with the hood off the setup doesn't fit standing up, which I would've liked for fast access. It works fine with smaller primes.

We tried the recently introduced ThinkTank Turnnstyle version 2.0, it was too boxy, too camera baggy, this looks a lot better, more like a simple messenger sling.

Thanks for the photos. I already had put the 13 in my Amazon list. This would be my 10th bag possibly which is crazy but they each play a surgically precise mission somehow. My gold standard sling has been the Tamrac Velocity 10x. I could get a 400 5.6, 70-200, 5d3 and 2-3 other lenses in that thing and it still felt a bit more discrete than a full backpack and it was worth the shoulder pain. But I couldn't put in a small laptop so this Mindshift 13 caught my eye. FWIW the comparison dimensions are:
Velocity 10x: 12 W x 6½ D x 13h (31 x 17 x 33 cm)
Photocross 13: 12.6” W x 7.1” D x 17.7” H (32 x 18 x 45 cm)

So it looks like the height of the 13 may reduce my subjective discreteness index a bit but I wouldn't need to leave the laptop behind in return. Never a perfect bag!
(The refined build quality of the Photocross appears to far exceed the Velocity which is great.

Hope I'm not breaking a rule so delete if I did but this guy notes at the end of his review that you get a free Mindshift gift (probably a memory card case) if you click through from his site to Mindshift:
