Why do the last two have a green cast. The first is super and the last captures a super moment Robert

Are those two corrected now Morris ? I could not see how to add beyond 5 images otherwise I would not have replaced the originals.

Thank you for your input.

Ok, thank you.

Here is what Morris said: "Why do the last two have a green cast. The first is super and the last captures a super moment Robert".

But you say all but #3 have a greenish cast.

People's perceptions of color vary greatly. That said, I also know that I do not see a certain cast.

I would love to have others continue to give opinions as to any unnatural color cast they may see on any of these images.

Also, do any of you see what you perceive to be incorrect or unnatural color casts in other's images also?

Julieanne Kost, Adobe's Tutorial guru, said that color perception is very subjective. That is a virtual quote. I will find it and post it.

Thank you so much for your opinions and perceptions on this.

Robert

The last two have very strange color, sort of like a time faded print.

Also, if you click the reply button next to the person you are responding to, we will receive a notice in our dashboard and also an email if we requested

Morris:

But do you see a color problem with #1 or #2 ?

EGrav does.

If not, then this validates my point and what Julieanne Kost and many other are saying.

Color perception is subjective, varying among individuals.

The entire thrust of the posting of these loon images has been redirected at a color cast.

I will do my best to get to the bottom of all of this....to correct what must be corrected. Then, after I believe it is corrected, I will have no choice but to ignore comments on color cast.

The second is off though it might be improper black point that is causing it to look too green. Anyone that is viewing photos with a monitor that is not hardware calibrated will not see things properly and this goes for processing photos as well. this is much more a factor than people's perception.

I just downloaded one of your photos and found two issues that are causing your color issues:
- You have not set the color space in Photoshop. When a web browser dose not receive color space info it will assume sRGB
- You are using aRGB and while this color space can display more information than sRGB, when not translated to sRGB for web viewing some web browsers will show it as sRGB and the color will be all over the place just as you are experiencing. I would not be surprised if you have trouble with color when you print.

Also, please click quote when you reply

Morris

I would like to regain the theme of my original posting: The purpose was to show a few more of my loon images from the past 3 years.

This thread is not going to continue as a discussion over color.

But I need to continue learning and we need to get to the bottom of this color issue. So I want to hear what you have to say Morris (and others if they wish to contribute. FM Forum can be a great learning experience.

So could we start a thread on this color issue in the "Post-Processing and Printing" forum?

I just attempted to move it over to there but all I know to do it copy and paste. And then it does not take the image, which would be good to have over there. After your last comment, I followed your suspicion and I thought I properly checked color space in PS CC within my Mac. I am fairly sure I have sRBG chosen. But I really do not know that stuff.

So, could we move this thing over to Post-P{processing and Printing ? I do want to get to the bottom of this and maybe you have a lot to contribute.

And for everyone: Now and in the future, I would like to read any comment you have regarding a perceived color fault you may see in images.

But in the future, would you be kind enough to send any color-related comment in a PM so it does not take over the thread?

That would be greatly appreciated.

Robert King

Is your monitor calibrated? Morris is correct, 2 look faded with a weird color cast, and 2 just have the green cast.

Why don't YOU start the thread you want to discuss on the "Post-Processing and Printing" forum?

I have posted thousands of images on this site in Adobe RBG and the colour difference compared to posting them as sRBG has been negligible.

Once someone has posted a reply to your initial post, you are unable to delete or move the thread. Only Fred can do that, and he is too busy for that sort of thing.

If you ask members to comment on your thread, you should not be bothered by them doing so, without having to PM their comments to you.
