Following a cold spring on the East Coast I'm thoroughly enjoying the 110+ temps in Tucson. (Oddly, the locals are moaning about the heat.)
Much like the Heinz refuge back in Philly, the park is basically a neighborhood joint where people go to work out and walk their dogs. But it's teeming with wildlife! The habitat is a mix of Sonoran Desert scrub and grasslands, so you get the best of both worlds.
Where good light is not in short supply, the D500 & 200-500 combo is perfect for casual travel photography (Psst, I'm officially here for a conference but somehow arrived a few days early.)
