Saw some of these with chicks again over at Plum Island this weekend, but Mom sure does keep em close. I tried several times to get pictures, but they just run into the tall grass.

This flock seems to be rather acclimated to us. I can get with in ten feet of them without them leaving. They also are not bothered by our dogs....
..although I am a hunter, I would have a hard time shooting these ones since they have grown up in my yard...but it has crossed my mind.
