Caught this show on my last trip. The water was much to fast for the perfect reflection one gets in low water, but the color reflects pretty well.

Thanks, in many trips I have not had that much light on the clouds and ridge at the same time.

It doesn't get any better than this. I have camped down river and spent hours and hours at that spot on a great many days. Maybe one of these days I will get something approaching this.

Thanks Jim, the light was so bad my shooting buddy left for Moab when all of a sudden it lit up.

I love the reflection but the out of focus foreground is a bit distracting. Don't know if the fuzziness is a result of downsizing for display or just OOF.

It was windy, I copped out most of it bottom right, but left a bit,

That warm light and those storm clouds sure makes for a really cool shot of what must have been a very fleeting moment. I like the fact that you don't have a glass-like reflection here. I think that might steal some of the attention from the top of the photo.

Fantastic light! The foreground grass seems blurred (probably very windy) but the real plot here is the light on the ridges. Well done, Ben.

The comment about an out of focus foreground is a very minor nit and a reach IMO.

Ben, the light on ridge and the orange glow makes the image special. Like the saying goes, "timing is everything" and your time for this image was spot on! Thanks for sharing.
