The Racetrack, in Death Valley, where the stones travel by themselves, is an incredible location. The long off-road drive to get there is definitely worth it: seeing and photographing these stones with their trails is magic, every time.

Nice one Vieri. You were fortunate with that great sky. Color never crossed my mind.

Yes, a special place indeed. One of my favorites.
Too bad some 'nuts' decided to drive on the playa recently.

I like your b&w rendition. It works very well with the subject and enhances the main attraction of the place... the moving rocks and the tracks they leave on the playa.

Well done!

Good shot, kind of a new angle on the racing rocks. I've never had a great sky like this when visiting the Racetrack.

Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it! Yes, the playa was badly damages when I went there in January, too bad that there always is some idiot loose. I just hope they catch them and throw them in jail.

Thank you very much Keith, I am happy you liked the composition! The sky was great, I have to say, on both my visit this past winter. I can't wait to be there again next year!

Best regards,

Vieri
