Here is my take on the terrific wildflower show put on by the Temblor Range in the Carrizo Plains National Monument area. My wife commented that it looks like a King Cake. We lived in the New Orleans area for almost two decades and came to love this Mardi Gras delicacy. The yellow, purple and green sugar covers the cake just as the wildflowers of the same colors cover the mountainside.

I hope those in living nearby enjoyed the show this year. Your comments are always welcome.
