Thanks all, I really appreciate the comments. As you might expect he is getting big quite quickly. 50 lbs now at 15 weeks old! Hope to have some updated pics soon.

I'm interested in seeing his growth in size and maturity. How does he fare with strangers so far? The best thing you can do for him is too keep socializing him around other dogs and people and more importantly, while he's still young. All the Great Danes I've ever met live up to their reputation as being a gentle giant. My pup is a thirteen year old three legged Pit Bull but the stereotypical Pit Bull doesn't fit her at all. She is very very mellow dog with the same rare soft "Blue" color as you. You don't find blue in dogs very often and it can pop up from time to time in other dog breeds and is not limited to just Pits. My Kona is truly no giant but she is gentle and has never ever even so once as growled at a stranger. We took her in as a stray 13 years ago and were supposed to just try her out for the weekend to decide if we were going to keep her. I starting to think we will

Thanks for checking in. He is doing extremely well and as you can imagine growing fast. He is about 70lbs now and and behave like most other Great Danes in that he believes he is a lap dog. He is very sociable. With people he is slightly tentative but warms up quickly and with other dogs he's quite friendly, sometimes too much so for some older dogs. A number of Danes that I have met tend to be a little skittish so we try a little extra hard to expose him to various situations and environments, which seems to be working. Yesterday we were at our cottage and he strolled up and down the beach with us meeting new people and dogs and after the walks and playing in the water had nice long sleeps on the beach.
Here is the latest picture I have of him. It was taken last week at the lake.

As far as pitbulls go, they have been one of the sweetest most loving dogs that I have ever met. The misrepresentation and ignorance that surrounds that breed is astounding.

I thought your PP looked vaguely familiar, especially in the first photo with the couch. It turns out you're not the only one who posts here that makes liberal use of her products!

I usually only use 1 or 2 of her products as I agree it can get overdone very easily.

He is certainly growing fast. About 80lbs now with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. I am hoping to do the "after" shot sometime this fall.
