| p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Driftwood And The Whitefish Point, Michigan Lighthouse | |
A few years ago, before my changeover to digital, my wife and I chased lighthouses around the Great Lakes, shooting a lot of medium format transparencies. The Upper Peninsula has a number of lighthouses, and one of the most "contemporary" among them is at Whitefish Point. North of the lighthouse and Coast Guard station is quite a large beach area and breakwater; a good deal of driftwood is left on the beach due to the nature of prevailing winds.
This image was taken on Ektachrome 100 Professional, using a Mamiya 645 Super, with a 45mm wide angle lens. I scanned it to digital with an Epson V850, using VueScan software.
