p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Shots from a favorite spot in the desert

I find myself going back to this one spot, mainly because of the stately trio of saguaro cacti that stand out there. Anyway, here are a few shots from my most recent visit to the area (just southwest of Gates Pass, outside Tucson).

#1: Hopefully this one doesn't look to HDR-ish (I always worry about overdoing the effect)

#3: This one is an IR shot

As always, CC are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,
Nice shots.. I think your best here is #2, I would suggest the following if it were mine.
Even though you went to shoot the Saguaro I find the Ocotillo more interesting having the 2 in the frame feels a little stretched out. If you crop out the saguaro on the right to about just where the hill starts to rise and crop a little of the sky to just above the clouds you isolate the Ocotillo and the beautiful light on the far hills and FG. Creates about a 4x3 .
Regards,
Dean

Not a bad thought. I'll have to play with it some more.

Thanks,

Dave
