p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Which TTL flash for X-T2

I'm in a need of a TTL flash for my X-T2. Anyone using one that works. I don't want to spend too much money as I'm waiting for Godox/Flashpoint to come out with their Fuji version. In the mean time I have some events I need to shoot at the end June and TTL flash will save me some work. Any feedback on the Metz mecablitz 44 AF-2?

Yes I can do without HSS as it will be all indoor bouncing flash and most likely under 1/250.

Nissin Air system has a Fuji variant controller. Also, Di700a and i60 which can both be controlled by the Air 1 controller.

There was just a press release saying that they are going to update the firmware to include HSS in May.

If you already have Nikon speedlites another option is the roboSHOOT MX/RX-20 which make the Nikon speedlites work with Fuji TTL, including HSS for some camera and speedlite combinations.

I have 4 Sony variant Di700A speedlites which work fine with a Fuji variant Air 1 on the GFX50s. I also tested the roboSHOOT with beta firmware and a Nikon variant Godox XT-1 to control Godox X system lights. It worked as expected in TTL and HSS.

How about the Nissin i40 or i60A, (TTL) or Metz M400 (TTL and HSS) All less expensive than the Fuji.

As to the upcoming Godox unit; If I understand correctly, the new transmitter will allow TTL and HSS with either their Nikon or Canon 360 flashes??

I am waiting for Godox TT350 for Fuji. I got one for Sony, it is only $80 and it is a wonderful smaller flash that does HSS and TTL and cooperates with all other Godox/Flashpoint Lighting Equipment. Hopefully the 1 to 2 months is when it comes out and I will buy it the first day.

There is also a Metz flash that for $279 supposedly does HSS/TTL.

I use the Nissin i60a on my X-T1 and am very pleased with it aside from no HSS capability yet. They announced a firmware update coming mid-May to add HSS support, but have to send the flash in for it.

The Godox TT350 is available for pre-order from Adorama now as well - http://flashhavoc.com/flashpoint-zoom-mini-r2-ttl-for-fuji-released. Not the power of the i60a, but really looking forward to a remote Godox HSS capable Fuji system.

How much power do you need? I have the small Meike ML320. It works great, but is not a big powerful unit. For small flash work and the added bonus of an integrated LED light to use in constant mode it has worked well for the small amount of fleas I've used on the XP2

I have this flash, and it's great. HSS and TTL work very well.

It's about 3 times more expensive than upcoming godox tt350. I wonder how big it looks and feels on a Fuji body

The timeline for Fuji TTL/HSS capabilities with Godox X system is to first implement in TT350 to confirm capabilities work as they should. Then add capabilities to V685 and 860 speedlites, then add capabilities to XT-1 and update firmware on the Canon, Nikon, Sony variants so they interoperate with Fuji. Same process for the M43 version.

Saw that the 350 will be coming in the next few weeks. I'm interested in this. Seems cheap and checks all the boxes as far as functionality goes.
