I just back from a trip to the Mud Desert called Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, India. This is the time for desert fox as the dens are active due to fox puppies.
I got information from my guy that few dens are active. Most, importantly, he informed that there is one active Indian fox den with three puppies. I was restless to see them but unfortunately, i could see only one Indian fox and the puppy was too shy. Den was close to a village and the stray dogs disturb the den.

However, Desert fox dens were abundant and i spent quite some time with this guy and his family. Three days with 100 GB images was a though task to clean, select and process.

A couple of beauties....the razor thin dof in the first works really. They are really cute as little ones.

Wow, Subrat, just a beautiful opening image followed by another solid one! Room for one more on your next trip? It's not too far from my family's home in Ahmedabad

I must issue a disclaimer here, and that is I am partial to Foxes! Partial or not both photos are solid, very solid, however number one is outstanding! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Morris. They are the most timid ones and at the same time very curious creatures. Once they accept your presence they will come near you and then you now - a photographers dream will be realized. The pups takes very little time to accept your presence. However, the mother takes lil more time. This time, first day mother did not come near by. Second day she came near the den after scanning our presence from all sides for half an hour. I asked my friend to just to lie down and do not click till she accept our presence. Then she came near the den with two mouse in her mouth to give it to her pups. They are really interesting.

Thank you Mitesh Sir ji. You are always welcome for a trip for fox. March and April is the only time you can do good photography as dens are active. Once they are about a month or half old then they run away.
