I was going to recommend getting the native Sony if you're shooting Sony. It's a fantastic lens. But, the weaker part of the range is 28-35-- where it needs stopping down for crispness. The wider 2/3 of the range is remarkable wide open.
If you do any non-landscape shooting, the native AF features are also really nice.
The Canon lens seems to edge out the Sony in raw performance, notably towards the longer end. But you are likely to find that both lenses are up to the task-- in which case I still think the most sense is to get the native option depending on the sensor platform. Short of going to primes, these are both about as good as it gets in the range from a zoom on FF. You can't go wrong.
