It's that time of the year when the Immortelle trees are flowering in Trinidad, and the wildlife birds and animals all come out to enjoy the sweet juicy flowers. Nothing like beautiful tropical vivid colors. The Red Howlers are usually very shy, it was my lucky day - I guess they were just too caught up in enjoying their meal. Enjoy!!

Wonderful; they look like they're absolutely enjoying the feast! Very well done in what looks to be some challenging exposure conditions; those faces among the vivid colors of the Immortelle flowers are priceless.

simply marvelous riot of colors, Wendell. there are similar trees in India and I believe they are called the Flame of the Forest.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts Kim, you are so right about balancing the exposures- trying not to blow the whites out- thankfully the D500 has a pretty good dynamic range that helped a good bit. It was my first time getting these critters out in the open feeding like this- had to make the best of the moment even though the sun was getting harsh.

Thanks for chiming in Morris appreciate it. I really only added a touch of sharpening to the resized photos - good light really makes the 200-500 shine.
