p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Oh, the swans in the light! (14)
These 14 frames were reduced from the 70 frames taken over about two minutes on Sunday at the East Pond of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Each frame was squeezed off individually and I use manual exposure to that changing backgrounds don't through my exposures off. The action was at quite a distance and all images are cropped. I converted using daylight white balance as there was no need to play with the color. As the swans mode this loop clouds passed in front of the sun and the bird also went through the shadows of trees so I was constantly adjusting my exposure using the principles of Sunny 16.
