It is normally very cold when I have photographed Long Tail Ducks in the past but this morning it was a mild +4 C. No gloves required..
These were all taken handheld. Thanks for looking.

That's a lot of terrific shots from one morning of shooting. They are all excellent but I particularly like #5.

Beautiful set. 1200mm handheld...Wow! I have a 1DXII and just ordered a 600mm F4 II. I can't wait to try out 1200mm with my 2x III extender. My old 500mm F4 I did not pair well, so I'm excited to finally be able to use it.

Great detail on these in flight shots. I have a hard time getting decent exposures with the long tails.

Very well done. Great work on your part being at 1200mm. It is tough keeping them in the field of view at that MM.
